Alright Y’all the heat has turned up and got me thinking about my favorite must haves for this summer season. Whether you are planning on taking a trip to a more tropical location or just chillin at home these are this summers must haves! The Goods:
Lets start with one of the most important items you should have in your beach bag and that is SUNSCREEN! Listen up, May is skin cancer awareness month and sunscreen is our best defense. I have compiled some of my favorite sunscreens to help a sister out. I will be including some options for your little ones as well as everyone in the family.
This is my favorite sunscreen for my little one. It scores well on the environmental working group (EWG) website. It is reef safe and is SPF 50+ which is a very important factor for me when deciding which sunscreens I purchase.
The Alba sport mineral sunscreen is another awesome option. This product scores well on the EWG website also. I love that it is fragrance free as I have extremely sensitive skin.
So the next thing you need to pickup before your trip is an awesome sunless tanner. I have pale skin and need a little boost during this season so I don’t look too much like a zombie. Recently, I picked up this product because of its excellent reviews and the fact that is scored a 1 (the safest level) on EWG website was a huge bonus! I love the idea of a safer tan by using a self tanner. The problem many people don’t know is how many chemicals can be in these products. This one however is such a great option and am so excited to share it with you all!

I have found the best cooler bag to take with you to the beach, the office, or poolside. So i know you ladies love the look of a wide brim sunhat. I have several in my closet that I honestly have NEVER worn. The problem is a hat is to be used for hat hair! Whenever I reach for my hat or if I am at the beach, pool, or outside my hair is not down. Girl you need this hat it solves this problem!! It has the same gorgeous look of a wide brim sunhat but has a cut out at the top for your messy bun. Plus this particular hat has a bow where the hat comes together around your head. And bonus you can roll it up for ease of packing. Along with that hat you need the perfect oversized sunnies and with this tortoise shading it will look great on all skin tones.
