May Favorites:

How is it June already? I have no idea where this year has gone. Today as I am relaxing from the beach, I bring you another favorites post. I think it is so interesting to see what other’s are purchasing. This month I am including a wide variety of items that are sure to please all readers. I hope you enjoy and find some new products to try.

Before we get into the post let me tell you a little about my month. My birthday is in the month of May and my husband made the best cake. This it is my favorite cake and has been a repeated request for three years now. Ill be sure to insert a picture just to make you all hungry… lol. It is a Reeses’ cake with peanut butter cream cheese frosting and if you didn’t know Reeses are by far my most favorite candy. My husband also made me my favorite pasta dish and we had some amazing gluten free sour dough bread. Ill be sure to link to this bread because if you are gluten free you must try this bread! I hope all of you had a great May especially all moms, I hope you realize how much you mean to your loved ones and got the chance to spend time with them during this special month.

May Favorites: The Best Gluten Free Baguette

First we will start off with the most fabulous store bought gluten free baguette I have ever had.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0047IHKCC/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0047IHKCC&linkCode=as2&tag=whatsupwingo-20&linkId=cac863bdb41e0ea58b8ba2872b643eac

This stuff is fabulous and the texture is spot on! I have been missing a good gluten free baguette since going gluten free five years ago and this one makes me so happy. It comes in a package of two and they are individually sealed so they stay fresher longer . IF they make it that long in your household. They freeze well too if you are looking to enjoy on occasion. They are a little pricey but let me tell you it is so worth it! Pair it with some Sous Vide Steak for a great meal!

May Favorites: Audio book

The next item in my May favorites is my favorite audio book of the moment. Like I mentioned in a previous post audible is such a great way to enjoy books on the go for busy moms. It is a refreshing break from the radio, helps you clothes get folded faster, and tedious house work is made much more enjoyable.

This book is so good. It is a must for any of you procrastinators. I am an over thinker and this book has helped me tremendously. Thinking is important but believe it or not sometimes we overthink the silly things that don’t need much thought. This book helps you move past your thoughts and initiates action to help you achieve what you want in life.

May Favorites: Hair Care

I have discovered some AMAZING hair products and I have to tell you about them. Kristen Ess is the brand and I picked these up from target. They claim to be luxury hair care but they are affordable! Ladies these babies deliver! I picked up three products that I will link below.

https://www.target.com/p/kristin-ess-weightless-shine-air-dry-cr-232-me-5-fl-oz/-/A-52567810

https://www.target.com/p/kristin-ess-the-one-signature-hair-water-7oz/-/A-52567946

https://www.target.com/p/kristin-ess-weightless-shine-leave-in-conditioner-8-45-fl-oz/-/A-51397343

The first product is an air dry creme for helping to achieve a gorgeous air dry look. Lets get real ain’t nobody got time to blow dry their hair this time a year. The next item is her signature hair water. This stuff is amazing. It helps to refresh your curly or wavy locks, and is like no other product I have ever used. I can’t use dry shampoo on the days when my hair is more natural but the hair water solution is a perfect. Finally is a leave in conditioner which we all need this time of year.

May Favorites: Shoe Obsession

These Vans are the best spring/summer transition shoe. It is made with a suede type material that is very comfortable. The light beige color looks so lovely with pastels and vibrant colors. Vans are so fun and I love all the new prints and more feminine options they have been coming out with lately.

May Favorites: For the Kiddos

My final items that I have been loving are the pacifier clip and teether from the company Ryan and Rose. I purchased these items on Amazon and this teether might be the best one I have ever gotten. My daughter has been teething and this is the only teether that she has really taken a liking too. I chose the white pacifier clip, however this marble is to die for! I love that they have several types of clips with different bead options, colors, and lengths depending on your needs. These clips serve as a teether as well as a clip. These are such good quality and are a must try.

Whats up with you?

I hope you all have enjoyed my favorites for this month. Lets keep the conversation going let me know what you have been up to during the month of May and what your favorites are.

Top Five Audio Books you Need to Hear

I have a long commute to work and need to find ways to pass the time. I love listening to the radio but I feel as though I waste away a large portion of my day hearing the same songs over and over again.  I have always loved to learn and lately I have been on a quest to increase my knowledge. Audio books have been a game changer for my long commute.

While I listen to books mostly in the car, lately I’ve been listening while doing the dishes, laundry, or any housework.  I find that I keep focused better with a book going and actually manage to get a lot more housework completed.  It also makes the tasks a lot more enjoyable.

I prefer to listen to self help, organizational, and health and wellness books but occasionally like to take the opportunity to listen to a book just for pleasure and enjoyment.

Here are my top 5 favorite audio books not in any particular order:

Girl wash your face by Rachel Hollis: Is an excellent book for helping mamas realize their worth. It is such an easy listen and is chock-full of excellent relatable info for all of us. It is definitely a must read.

Girl, Stop apologizing by Rachel Hollis: This is a great companion to Girl, Wash your face. It goes into detail about how to achieve what you want in life. Both of these books by Rachel are fabulous and are definitely must reads for all Mamas
